11th Annual Banquet

The LANL Foundation held its 11th Annual Banquet on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at La Fonda on the Plaza in Santa Fe. This fundraising event to benefit the Los Alamos Employees' Scholarship Fund brought together over 400 community leaders and donors to support and celebrate the work of the LANL Foundation.

A cocktail reception was followed by the dinner in the Lumpkins Ballroom. Board President Diana MacArthur presented the 2007 President’s Award to fellow board member Michael Anastasio on behalf of LANS for its generous financial contributions to the LANL Foundation in 2007.  The keynote address was given by Commissioner Pete Lyons of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission.  The Los Alamos Big Band, a 16-piece 1940s style swing band, provided entertainment throughout the evening.
