Grants Program
The Small Grants STEM Education program is designed to provide timely support to schools and other nonprofit organizations for STEM education projectsSmall grants are competitive, and the maximum award is $1,500.
Effective January 2012, the LANL Foundation will no longer support Community Outreach projects.
In 2011, 63 small grants were awarded totaling $76,500. (Click here to see the 2011 Small Grant recipients.) In 2012, the LANL Foundation Small Grants Program will award up to $100,000.
The Foundation has made additional changes in the application process and eligibility requirements for the Small Grants program, effective January 2011.
• Organizations may apply only one time per year. This means that organizations whose applications were declined will not be permitted to submit a new application until the next calendar year.
• Awardees who received LANL Foundation grants in previous years and did not meet all of the reporting deadlines or other requirements of their FUNDING AGREEMENTS will be ineligible to receive Small Grants and their applications will be disqualified.
Small Grants Application submission dates
Applications may be submitted monthly, January through November, and are due on or before the 15th of each month. No exceptions.
