ISEC Professional Development
All ISEC K–6 teachers in the four school districts receive professional development (PD), coaching support, and research-based science kits in order to implement effective methodology for engaging students in scientific inquiry and for enhancing teacher learning.
This comprehensive program leverages funds from the districts, LANLF, and LANS/LANL to offer PD, along with ongoing and continuous follow-up support from Science Literacy Coaches available daily in the schools and the use of fully equipped, grade-specific science kits matched to New Mexico Science Standards for use in the classroom throughout the school year.
