Chelsea supports the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Scholarship at the LANL Foundation. Chelsea joins the team after supporting and advising high-level officials on administrative, communication, and policy decisions.
Most recently, Chelsea served as a senior policy analyst II to the New Mexico Legislative Education Study Committee where she advised a group of bipartisan lawmakers on policy and funding decisions related to the teacher workforce. She also previously worked for the Colorado Legislature, the National Conference of State Legislatures, and several non-profits focusing on education, workforce, and voting access issues.
Chelsea holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Denver. Her thesis focused on public policy solutions to the nursing shortage in Colorado. She has a BS in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Colorado-Boulder, where she served as President of External Affairs for the University of Colorado Student Government.
Originally from Southern Colorado, Chelsea is excited to be back in Northern New Mexico where she has long extending family roots. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, dancing, and watching live music.
